I could remember it like it was yesterday......

A past event I would like to put into the spotlight is a day I will cherish! I didn't manage to get enough footage, but I FINALLY met up with Aubrey Jay (YouCanDoIt2010). She is spectacular and I was relieved when I got to hang out with her. I say that because we were actually planning various dates, but it sort of fell apart. Sometimes our schedules/plans conflicted with each others. And that is what nearly happened. My family was planning a remembrance ceremony and the day she wanted to meet up, I had to sadly decline. But then, with a hint of luck, the ceremony was rescheduled for a later date so that my peeps had enough time to make it in town. But yes! It was so last minute and I enjoyed every moment. I have to admit, I'm not an outgoing person. So I like to tell people I am "fun-challenged!" Although, I might of seemed awkward and anti-social, it was great to interact with someone I've had a virtual connection with. We headed to one of my city's higher end malls. Not to mention, people here have to go to stores to enjoy themselves! There is no appealing entertainment in site. After a while, you get jaded from the same old repetitive adventures. But once you go with a different person, it's seems like an entirely new experience. Moving along, we first walked into JC Penny as we jumped off a conversation. After that, heck I don't even remember! I believe we went into Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Claires, Xpress, Bath and Body Works, Hot Topic and TARGET! Yes, our mall had a Target attached to it and we seen this as a great vlogging opportunity. Both of us had one thing in mind---SCHOOL SUPPLIES! Oh yes, we power walked our hiney's to the back to school section. But this isn't a lost cause. I know Aubrey has some footage. She'll upload it on her own terms. It was hilarious and sort of difficult to record. As Aubrey searched for good deals on school supplies, I only managed to get a pack of Sharpie Highlighters.

Lunch time followed directly after. Oh boy was I craving some sort of natural fruit drink. As we went to the food court, we each chosen where we wanted to order from. Across from Chick-fil-a was a little section that was called "Fuji Teahouse" and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Let me reassure you, my fascination with the Asian culture grew stronger. Mmmmmm, I just cannot resist boba tea with tapioca! I ordered a honey dew milk tea with extra boba and coconut chunks. They also had sushi and some appetizers, but they incorporated meat and seafood (not good for a vegetarian). I could infer that this eatery did not make as much business as the other neighboring stations, so I was bought over by a humble smile and their hospitality! I asked if they served fresh spring rolls and they did. They told me it was not a problem to specially make them for me according to my preferences. My main meal was a black bean patty foot long sub from Subway. Here's where the funny part approaches. Aubrey was sitting and waiting patiently until I gotten my food, then without realizing what end of the straw I was using, I put the un-sharpened tip to the boba drink I had. Since I forcefully put pressure on it because it seemed like it wouldn't slip through, it sort of EXPLODED! Hahahhaa! I couldn't help, but to laugh. I tell you, I am clumsy sometimes. It was a mess! I had to clean it up with a lot of paper napkins. Anyways, I tried to overlook that little mishap ;-) Aubrey was a great sport and tried a spring roll for the first time. But I don't plain her for disliking it. With the peanut sauce, it is decadent!

After lunch, we wondered around and left the mall. Aubrey took me to another mall and we had so much talks there! :D We went to Dylan's Candy Bar and oh my! I'm glad I really don't have a sweet tooth because I would have tons of cavities. But I loved the scenery and the atmosphere. I had in the past tasted their Belgium chocolate and they were divine! After that, we probably went to Borders. It was heartbreaking to know that they liquidated their whole chain of stores because they're closing down all of their businesses. Borders had these banners stating that their items were ten to thirty percent off---a deal you cannot overlook! Sigh, I used to use Borders as my hot spot. Booo, I don't have a Barnes and Nobles that is close to me >:-/

Anywho, we went to Claires and I was so hesitant to buying this tribal/Aztec patterned boho bag. But thinking it over, it looked unique and I decided to give it a go (despite it being overpriced). Haha, we seen some guy playing Xbox Kinect and his dance moves were drawing a crowd.

Sigh, all good things have to come to an end. If I were to tell you how much I was sweating, you guys might think I'm exaggerating. But nonetheless, I had a marvelous time with her and I appreciate her friendship so much. She is so AWESOME! :)
