Essential School Items You Might Need!

If your schools didn’t distribute them, you will most likely receive the specific list of items by your teachers in the first week of school. Syllabus or hand out.

Writing utensils:
-Good quality pens: black, blue, red, and etc.
-Mechanical pencils (Paper mate)
-No.2 pencils: for tests, exams, to be on the safe side

Binder(s)
Tablets Number should vary based on classes****
Dividers
Loose leaf paper
Sharpener
Stick glue/glue
Colored Pencils
Markers
Inexpensive 3 hole puncher
Composition notebooks
Led refills
High-quality erasers (pentel hi-polymer)
Pencil pouch/case
Book covers***optional if you are self-conscious that you will ruin a textbook
Report covers for presentations/projects
Sheet protectors to protect important handouts
Reinforcements in case paper rips

Plastic

Keeping organized:
-Planner/agenda some schools provide them***
-Hi-liters (the more colors, the better)
-post-it notes
-index cards (great for studying for quizzes, tests, exams, projects, etc.)
-flags (remarkable way to make side notes or use as a place holder)
-accordion portfolio (store past work you don’t need to take daily in this)
-Correction Tape or just simply whiteout
-Permanent Marker: for labeling (Sharpie)
-Sticker labels
-USB Flash drive

Math/Science:
-Calculator (Texas Instruments)
-Ruler
-Protractor/ Geometry set
-Scissors
-Graph paper

Items great for homework:

Assigned a locker:
-Good quality lock (Masterlock)

-mirror
Additional decorations of your choice if your school allows it

-Hand sanitizer
-tissue packets
-deodorant/body spray

Miscellaneous:
-umbrella for rainy days
-lunch bag if you take lunch

Clothes:
Uniform
No dress code= anything you like to wear
Tennis shoes/ sneakers
Girls: flats
Socks
New underwear & bras
Undershirts
At least one sweater
Pants/ Jeans/ Shorts
Polo’s: Aeropostale, Target, Wal-mart, Hollister, Abercrombie, etc....
Athletic gear if you’re taking gym or playing sports

Look out for bargains or absolute steals!
Don’t wait until the last minute to purchase your school-related items
Don't get everything on tax free weekend

Stores that have great school supplies:
Wal-Mart, Target, Office Max, Staples, Kroger, Dollar Store, etc….
